Michelle Ishmael (RYT 200) has been practicing yoga in Springfield for the past 25 years. Michelle found herself leading impromptu yoga classes at work and while traveling with friends so she decided to see where that curiosity would take her…and she became certified last year. She now enjoys teaching and guiding students in the studio through playful or relaxing, but always mindful classes.
For Michelle, yoga allows her to calm her mind from a demanding job and comfort her body through joint pain and past injuries. Michelle enjoys taking her time to move into a pose, connecting with her breath, and just letting go – something that is more challenging for her off the mat!
Beyond her practice, Michelle lobbies for public school teachers, travels whenever and wherever she can, and then enjoys coming home to her house and garden.
